I am a people watcher. Wherever I go I observe them: how they express them selves, move or just hang their arms. Is there a sparkle in their eyes? We all are very unique and yet in some ways so similar. I try to catch the essence of a person on canvas. A portrait will never be a copy of a photograph. It is important to combine art, likeness and character. People who wish to be painted either pose or let me take some typical photographs of them. This way even a person with a limited amount of time can be portrayed. A portrait is a treasure weather it hangs on a wall at home or in an office. |
